![]() ![]() ![]() No, I was not a history major, but it was a hobby. I developed a two-year course on church history. As the internet became more available, I would download articles of interest to me. However, I continued to find the subject exciting and read everything I could find. I was raising children, and when I would bring up the subject with Christians, I got the “eyes glazed over” stare. I was shocked as I read or heard of abusive behavior by church leaders. I read the news before I started blogging, especially about faith. What is The Wartburg Watch, and how does it express what Todd and I are doing? If a “watchdog site” is not making a transparent effort to adhere to journalistic ethics and integrity, you are probably getting half truth and half agenda. How to be discerning about “discernment blogs”: Surprisingly, I was among the folks mentioned, although I am different from them. The discussion was about a group of well-known blogs, such as Julie Roys and Warren Throckmorton. Here is a link to her website and Bright City Church. Sharon earned her MDiv from Duke Divinity School and her PhD from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, where she researched the topic of women and calling. Sharon leads Bright City Church in Durham, North Carolina, with her husband, Ike, which they planted together in 2018. I had a reason to think more about this a few days ago when a discussion on Twitter ensued after Sharon Hodde Miller asked a challenging question on Twitter. They ask my opinion but ask someone to believe them and support them even if a situation cannot be changed. Many people do not realize that 50% of my work is talking with people who have been hurt. However, I receive frequent calls from people suffering unjust church discipline every week. I spent some time commiserating with her, encouraging her, and coming up with positive steps which might be effective. The story was the typical abusive behavior of a church that would most likely invite CJ Mahaney and Mark Dever to speak to their church. Yesterday I got a call from a woman who was being subjected to retroactive discipline. #pragma config WDTEN = OFF // Watchdog Timer Enable bits (WDT is always enabled.“Blogging is a conversation, not a code.” – Mike Butcher. #pragma config BORV = 190 // Brown Out Reset Voltage bits (VBOR set to 1.90 V nominal) #pragma config BOREN = SBORDIS // Brown-out Reset Enable bits (Brown-out Reset enabled in hardware only (SBOREN is disabled)) #pragma config PWRTEN = ON // Power-up Timer Enable bit (Power up timer enabled) #pragma config IESO = OFF // Internal/External Oscillator Switchover bit (Oscillator Switchover mode disabled) #pragma config FCMEN = OFF // Fail-Safe Clock Monitor Enable bit (Fail-Safe Clock Monitor disabled) #pragma config PRICLKEN = ON // Primary clock enable bit (Primary clock is always enabled) #pragma config PLLCFG = OFF // 4X PLL Enable (Oscillator used directly) #pragma config FOSC = INTIO67 // Oscillator Selection bits (Internal oscillator block) T2CONbits.T2CKPS = 0b00 // 1:1 Pre-scaler PR2 = 399 // PR2 register loaded with PWM period valueĬCP2CONbits.CCP2M3 = 1 //CCP1CON bits configured to PWM modeĬCP2CONbits.DC2B0 = 1 // Load 2 LSB bits of PWM duty cycleĬCPR2L = 0b00011111 // Load 8 SMB bits of PWM duty cycle TRISBbits.RB0 = 1 // Disable CCPx pin output by setting OSCCONbits.IRCF = 0b110 //8 MHz frequency selected * Initialize I/O and Peripherals for application */ * Configure the oscillator for the device */ ![]() #include "user.h" /* User funct/params, such as InitApp */ #include "system.h" /* System funct/params, like osc/peripheral config */ #include /* HiTech General Include File */ Any help as to what I might be doing wrong? I calculated period for 8MHz FOSC and 5000Hz Fpwm. I follow steps as given in section 14.3.2 in the datasheet. I am learning to work with PIC and I am trying to set up a PWM using CCP for PIC 18F45K22. ![]()
